Tickets sells for Ebert Film Fest

Festival passes will go on sale November 1st for the 12th annual Roger Ebert's Film Festival, or "Ebertfest" for April 21-25th at the Virginia Theater.

Spurlock Museum Special Event: WorldFest

Get three performances for the price of one! The Spurlock Museum
invites you to WorldFest, Saturday, April 10, from 12:30 to 4:00 PM.
Performances will be given by African-American storyteller Shanta,
musician Rocky Maffit, and Korean percussion group GRMD. Craft
activities will be available for all ages. The suggested donation is
$5.00 per person. This event is sponsored in part by the Illinois
Arts Council, a state agency. The Spurlock Museum is located at 600
S. Gregory, Urbana.

Springer Cultural Center Art Exhibition Series

The Springer Cultural Center Art Exhibition Series presents "Color of Cultures, featuring work by several amazing artists from Champaign-Urbana International Artist Group.

The Show runs March 11th to April 11th.

Art Exhibition: PETALS & PAINTINGS

The University of Illinois Krannert
Art Museum Council will host its eighteenth annual PETALS & PAINTINGS
benefit April 16–18 in support of the museum’s upcoming exhibitions and
related educational programming.


Tickets for the opening reception* *may be purchased for $75. For event
information or to make a reservations call Krannert Art Museum at
217.244.0516. Limited tickets will be available at the door.



The PETALS & PAINTINGS exhibition* *will be open to the public and may be
viewed from 9 am–5 pm on Saturday, April 17, and from 12–5 pm on Sunday,
April 18. Docent-led tours will be available on Saturday beginning at 10 am.

Honor Yesterday—A Historical Tribute: March 19 - April 7, 2010

o A historical exhibit chronicling Champaign’s story through
artifacts and narratives.

Celebrate Today—Champaign Music Festival: July 10, 2010

o A birthday salute in downtown Champaign
o featuring entertainment from local musicians
o games and activities for the whole family

And in March 2011-
Build Tomorrow—A Legacy Dedication: March 11, 2011

o A legacy celebration
o Historic Virginia Theatre and Downtown Plaza
o Time capsule dedication \ Legacy fountain dedication
o An art exhibit by Champaign youth
