Tolono Public Library Town Hall Meeting
The Tolono Public Library will hold it's third in a series of Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, March 16 at the Savoy Recreation Center from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The meetings, which have already been held in Sadorus and Tolono, are designed to solicit feedback from library district resident about services and programs to assist in the board's long-range planning.
The library would like to hear from current patrons as well as those who may not
currently use the library about how they can better serve their patrons.
Bring your questions and comments about the Tolono Public Library to the Savoy
Recreation Center at 7:00 on Tuesday, March 16. Meet your library board, and talk
with Director Janet Cler about the library.

TWO TEACHERS’ WORKSHOPS AT ROCK SPRINGS NATURE CENTER
Two teachers’ workshops are being offered by the Macon County Conservation
District. Women of Early Illinois is March 18, 4pm – 8pm. March 25, from 4pm – 8pm, the topic is Endangered and Exotic Illinois. The fee for each workshop is $10.

MOUNTAIN DULCIMER WORKSHOP
A Mountain Dulcimer Workshop, presented by Mike Anderson, will be
held at the Rock Springs Nature Center on March 20. Beginners session will be from 10a.m – 11:30a.m. An Advanced session will be from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. The cost is $20.00 per person for one session and $35.00 per person if attending both.

2010 Annual Neighborhood Leaders Meeting and S.T.A.R. Awards
"Linking our Community" is the theme chosen for the upcoming Neighborhood Leaders Meeting.
On Wednesday April 14th the Neighborhood Services Agency Advisory Board will host the 2010 Annual Neighborhood Leaders Meeting.
The meeting will be held at the Champaign Public Library, in Robeson Pavillion Rooms A, B, & C from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Doors will open at 5PM.

Champaign Park District Celebrates Black History
Come Celebrate Black History at the Douglass Community Center with an afternoon of free entertainment on Saturday April 24 at 3PM.
The Douglass seniors will present the play "From the Bidder's Box to the White House", depicting what African Americans have contributed to American history.
In additon, the Praise Dancers from Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church and New Life Choir from St. Luke C.M.E Church will perform that afternoon.
Local women will read "Ain't I a Woman" and "A People for All Seasons."

How to have an Amazing Marriage, a weekend for couples with author,
speaker and marriage counselor, Dr. Tim Gardner.

Urbana Free Library Spring Book Sale
The Friends of the Urbana Free Library will hold their Spring Book
Sale from April 22 - 26. There will be a presale for members only on
Thursday April 22 from 5 to 8:30 PM. $10 annual memberships are
available at the door beginning at 4 PM. Junior memberships for age 12
and under are $1. On Friday April 23 and Saturday April 24 books will
sold at full price from 9AM - 5:30PM. Most books are priced at under
$1.00. Books remaining on Sunday April 25, will be sold at half price
from 1PM - 4:30 PM. On Monday April 26, all remaining books are free!
Hours are 9AM until noon. NO ELECTRONIC SCANNING DEVICES WILL BE

GROW in Illinois Mental Health Support Group Program
Free weekly 12-step program for anyone experiencing mental health issues, emotional problems, addictions or difficulties coping. Anonymous, confidential, friendly and open to all.
